LEMON
EUREKA
The Eureka lemon is a variety originating from California, developed from seeds sent from Sicily in the late 1850s. The tree is less vigorous and smaller than the Lisbon lemon, but its production is well distributed throughout the year, from autumn to early summer. The fruit, generally smaller than the Lisbon lemon, has a medium to thin peel, a high juice and acidity content, and is rarely seeded, being largely seedless. Oblong in shape, this variety can be harvested year-round.
LISBON
The Lisbon lemon is a variety originating from Portugal and widely cultivated in California and other Mediterranean regions. The tree is vigorous, large, and highly productive. The fruits are medium to large in size, oblong in shape, with a thin to medium-thick peel and juice rich in acidity. Seeds are few, and the fruits are generally almost seedless. Production is spread over a long period, allowing for nearly year-round harvesting, with a peak in winter and spring.
