Washington Navel: is a mid-season Navel orange variety, likely originating from a spontaneous mutation in Bahia, Brazil, at the end of the 19th century. The tree has a rounded, slightly drooping canopy, with medium size and vigor. Fruits can be maintained on the tree for several months without loss of quality. The fruit is large to very large, of excellent quality, bright orange in color, and features a clearly visible “navel” at the apex. Its shape is oblong to elongated, with sweet, juicy, and flavorful flesh. The harvest period extends from November to January.
